Thank you all so much for your prayers. The mouth sores are gone and it's been a good week. Next Monday will be my half way point in treatment. I can't begin to tell you what a blessing this blog has been. How wonderful to hear from all of you, I read back through all of your comments atleast once a week, smiles, tears and what love I feel. Thank you.
The Lord be with all of you, and hope you have a beautiful weekend. Jamie

July 26
Hi all, glad to have week 2 behind me. About Wednesday I started feeling the effects of the chemo from last week. My mouth has become very sore and has forced me to take alot of pain meds. Eating and talking have become too painful to do and I had always liked talking and eating!! Actually those might be two of my favorite things. Jimmy can tell you it's very quiet around here but unpleasant as it is we're doing okay. Next week is more radiation, when they will begin hitting my lower lymph nodes as a precaution. Thanks for all your prayers, calls and visits.
Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Blessings to all, Jamie

Week Two
Well, it seems like a good start to week two. It's Monday and after treatment today, Casey and Steph are coming to get me and take me to Cheyenne for an overnight. I'm really looking forward to this. Feeling some effects of chemo but not bad. Had a wonderful weekend listening to good music at Power at the Pavilion. Let me share todays devotional:
Grace manifests as a continual flow of good into my life. I look for blessings, and whenever a surprise blessing causes me to smile, I know that it is the activity of grace. Aware of Spirit's constant, steadying presence, I retain a bright outlook on life. My positive energy emanates from within me as a word of assurance or a helpful hand, letting others know I care. Grace inspires me to bless others, and blessings return to me greatly multiplied.
You are all my blessings,
Jamie

Day 4
It's been a pretty good week so far. I carry around a continuous feed chemo bag that I will get off of Friday. Radiation has been gentle. I must admit that I enjoy the trips across the mountain with my Mom and I've been driving, today I'm going with Cathy so I'll sit back and relax. Any of you remember Dalton Webster from High school? Met his mom yesterday in the office and had a nice visit. It's interesting who God puts in our paths. I'm proud and humbled to have all of you checking on me and sending prayers, they certainly help. Blessings Jamie

Hi friends, The past couple weeks have been a whirlwind. But now we are ready to tackle this and get on with treatment. I'm looking at six weeks of radiation with chemo the first and fifth weeks. Lots of travels back and forth to Laramie but I also have places to stay over there if need be. I'm so blessed to have you all checking on me and offering rides and help where needed. This message is one that I will hold onto daily: Faith is not believing in my own unshakable belief. Faith is believing an unshakable God when everything in me trembles and quakes. Faith family and friends, now that's a good support system!! Blessings, Jamie

arizona outcome
Okay! I talked to Jamie today! She is in Arizona with Katie at the mayo clinic and got to spend the 4th with Katie. Katie is in the process of moving into a new house (she just bought) so her internet is down and Jamie is unable to post here.
She saw the doctors there for a second opinion regarding her situation (Katie works at the mayo clinic, what a blessing). They agreed with everything that is being done in Laramie - a nice thing to hear. Jamie will be back Tuesday night (the 7th) and will start her treatment (chemo) in Laramie on the 13th - and will be there through the 17th. Then she will be home. (yea)
That's the news so far. A fast trip but priceless for the peace of mind.

July 1
Thanks to all who check on me and send prayers. I got my port put in yesterday and am still pretty sore. I'll try to work alittle the next two days. Then Saturday I'll leave for Scottsdale and have an appointment at Mayos on Monday. As of now I'm scheduled to start treatments on the 13th and that will start with 5 days in the hospital. Thanks to Cathy and Camille for setting up this site. Blessings to you all, Jamie
