Day 4
It's been a pretty good week so far. I carry around a continuous feed chemo bag that I will get off of Friday. Radiation has been gentle. I must admit that I enjoy the trips across the mountain with my Mom and I've been driving, today I'm going with Cathy so I'll sit back and relax. Any of you remember Dalton Webster from High school? Met his mom yesterday in the office and had a nice visit. It's interesting who God puts in our paths. I'm proud and humbled to have all of you checking on me and sending prayers, they certainly help. Blessings Jamie

Hi Jamie,
ReplyDeleteWe finally got on your blog site, and it helps a lot as we pray for you just to know how things are going. We will have those on our e-mail prayer letter pray for you, and will keep them updated with your comments & first name, if that is okay.
We are so thankful the drive to Laramie has been pleasant and that the Radiation has been "gentle".
We loved your comment about faith on July 12. So true. They reminded us of a favorite passage of Scripture:
````
From Psalm 46 - The Living Bible:
46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble.
2 And so we need not fear even if the world blows up and the mountains crumble into the sea.
3 Let the oceans roar and foam; let the mountains tremble!
4 There is a river of joy flowing through the city of our God--the sacred home of the God above all gods.
5 God himself is living in that city; therefore it stands unmoved despite the turmoil everywhere. He will not delay his help.
6 The nations rant and rave in anger--but when God speaks, the earth melts in submission and kingdoms totter into ruin.
7 The Commander of the armies of heaven is here among us. He, the God of Jacob, has come to rescue us.
````
Hebrews 13:8 NKJV:
“ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
````
Thanks so much for the updates.
Jamie,
ReplyDeleteCathy informed us about your cancer. We are praying for your full recovery. If there is anything we can do let us know.
Howdy - church was really good today (of course I cried through much of it, and just balled when we sang "In the Garden": I hadn't heard it since my mother funeral).
ReplyDeleteAnyroad - sounds like its going as well as can be expected. I do have a little somthin-somthin that could really help w/headaches and nausea....we can messenger through Jimmy. Listen-if EVER you need a ride over and back I'm totally in. I would love to take a day off work in the middle of the week and shuttle you. There is always something to pick up in Laramie - I'm also always traveling frequently btwn here & Ft Collins; so if there is ever something you need delivered or brought back from L, I'm up for that too. Please keep the info coming - big love your way.
Finally figured out how to post here! Thoughts and prayers to you and Jimmy. Thinking good thoughts. We are close for anything at all you might need. We now have a fence so dog-watching would be easy if needed. Hugs, CindyB
