Hallelujah!

We just got the report from the colonoscopy and THERE IS NO SIGN OF THE TUMOR. Praise God and thank you to all of you for your prayers. We know that through the power of prayer my healing has been complete. These past few months have been quite a journey and we appreciated you all who have been with us. I will have to have a PET scan in a few weeks and make sure all of my body has remained clear. But for now it is off to Arizona for Katie's wedding. May God bless all of you and let us not forget the many who still fight this dreadful disease.

Praise you, my God! Let the sound of Your praise be heard; You have preserved my life and kept my feet from slipping. For You, O God, tested me; You refined me like silver. You brought us into the net: You laid affliction on our backs... We went through fire and through water: But you brought us out to rich fulfillment. Psalms 66:8-12

Still going>>>>

Hi Friends,
I'm still working on gaining my strength back. Basically feel pretty good just weaker than I expected. I went to the shop alittle this past week and discovered that I'm not going to get back full time for quite awhile. That's been a bit of a dissappointment.
Doctors have set up tests the first of December to make sure they got the whole tumor and to see how things look.
On the bright side, good friend Marilyn is coming to get me and drive me and a bunch of stuff to Arizona to see Katie. YIPEE!! Us girls need some shopping and wedding organizing time.
Thank you to all for your continued prayers.

More recovery

Hi Friends,
Finally had a check up with the doctor in Casper on Tuesday. He said I was coming along as expected. That was okay news and good for me to hear, as I think I should be better by now. When I put it all in perspective, I am much better than I was at the end of treatment a month ago. I'm getting out for walks and able to do a few errands around town.
I was hoping to be back to work this week but I'm going to be a bit slower. I still don't have the stamina to stand for very long but I hope to start soon and just get a few hairs cut each day.
Jimmy got me a therapy kitty for our anniversary and he has been a little blessing.
Other blessings in our lives, Katie is getting married and we are very pleased. She and Ben are planning a wedding the Friday after Thanksgiving in AZ, so we have lots to do. Katie will have to do alot herself since I'm not big help right now but I am going to try and get there soon for wedding dress shopping!!!
Blessings to all of you for your continued prayers. 'Remind me each morning of your constant love, for I put my trust in you' Psalm 143:8 Jamie

Recovery

So sorry to not have been on my blog for so long. I thought I would just be tired but I have had a time getting regulated on medications. So last week wasn't so good and then Saturday 9/12 I spent the day in the Rawlins ER getting rehydrated. Now Sunday is looking pretty good and we'll go from there.
My goodness, the cards and flowrs keep coming and I love to see who will write on this blog. Such a humbling experience that all of you take the time for me. Blessings on all of you for your kindness.
But joyful are those who have God as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God.
Psalm 146:5

I've heard from some of you that you read my blog but sometimes don't or can't figure out how to send a message, I feel your prayers and include you in mine.
Blessing, Jamie

Last Day of treatment!!!

Hallelujah! Today will be my last radiation and what a relief. Eventually we all end up getting burned and they tell me I've been stronger that most. Thank God for that because it has become very uncomfortable. Last of the chemo is wearing off and I was better prepared for the mouth sores this time, so they weren't quite so bad. Next week we'll find out if the hair stays or goes, it's not feeling like my hair but atleast it's hanging on. Now I will have a couple of weeks where the treatments continue to give off their nasty effects but I will get to stay home and that sounds so good, we're so sick of driving.
I know there are some of you that need prayer (L) and please know I'm thinking of you and putting you in my prayers. Thankfully we have our God and our friends to help us.
Come to me all you who are weary and burdended and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:23
And that is where I'm headed into the arms of my Lord to recover. And I've also got this wonderful husband who has been absolutely unbelievable thru this, Jimmy is AWESOME.
love to you all, Jamie

Almost there!

Okay friends, we are starting week6. This will just be radiation as I finished the chemo last week. Getting tired and so sore, this will probably be the worst week. Please pray that the mouth sores and tummy upsets are not too bad. Mostly I will probably just sleep this week until the bad stuff passes.
Wonderful last week, so nice to have Katie here and enjoying her friend Emily. Got to have a family dinner and good times with just Katie and Jimmy and I. We did have one valley to get through, our Lovey cat of 22 years had to be put down. Katie got Lovey when she was about 3 years old and so it was nice that we were together for the final days.
Thanks to you all for the blogs, they help me so much keep my spirits up. And some are just down right funny (Dick) and those really bring the smiles.
Blessings to all of you and lots of prayer to finish this out and get on to recovery. Jamie

End of Week 4

Yipee!! This was really a pretty good week. I'm getting a little more uncomfortable all the time. Next week is chemo week and that's not bad just a nuisance. Nice to have Bob and Rosie around and taking me to Laramie one day last week. Katie will be here on Sunday,VERY EXCITED! Thanks to you all for writing. Check out Renie's poem on my last post, it is beautiful. My blessed little red haired friend helped me get the house ready for Katie. So much food has been brought in and may I say my friends are GOOD cooks! And wonderful Cindy at CP&L got my PC up and running after a major crash on Thursday. Aren't we all blessed to live in such a community and to have such great support. Blessings and prayers to all of you. Jamie
