Hi all, glad to have week 2 behind me. About Wednesday I started feeling the effects of the chemo from last week. My mouth has become very sore and has forced me to take alot of pain meds. Eating and talking have become too painful to do and I had always liked talking and eating!! Actually those might be two of my favorite things. Jimmy can tell you it's very quiet around here but unpleasant as it is we're doing okay. Next week is more radiation, when they will begin hitting my lower lymph nodes as a precaution. Thanks for all your prayers, calls and visits.
Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Blessings to all, Jamie

ReplyDeleteHi, Jamie! It was nice to see you yesterday! You look absolutely beautiful, as usual! I'm so happy you're feeling better this week. Don't forget that you can call me for anything, okay!?

ReplyDeleteJamie:
ReplyDeleteSounds like things are going well with the exception of a few ups and downs. You are in our thoughts and prayers everyday. Miss having you do our hairdos because mine is flat, flat, flat and the boys are long and shaggy. Please remember to call if you need anything a driver to Laramie or a meal cooked whatever! Take care.

ReplyDeleteWell friend, life can throw some crap at us can't it?? I was shocked when Jimmy told us and sorrier than I can say.Seems I've known my fair share of people diagnosed with cancer of some sort both family and friends, my dad included.Just know that there is an end....that you will walk out on the other side and one day soon it will all be a memory(not one you'll want to take out and relive often but a memory none the less). Not much I can do from here but pray so know I'm doing that daily.Hugs to both you and Jimmy.
Deb(Jimmy)
Hang in there, Jamie! The gel for your mouth should show up any time and I will hang it on your doornob if you are not at home.
ReplyDeleteLove ya, goodoldonna
Hi Jamie
ReplyDeleteHope this week is better for you! Sorry to hear your mouth is so sore! I however could go without eating for a while and it would be good for me!!!! I would love to help in any way, just let me know if I can help you with anything. I pray for you daily!
Love and prayers, Jo Dell
So sorry to hear that your mouth is sore. I too could go without eating, but you need your strength. Elwin and I both send our love and prayers. Keep your good attitude and I am sure you will be rewarded. If you need anything have Jimmy call us.
ReplyDeleteHey Jamie -- I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking and praying for both you and Jimmy all the time(I know I should probably call him Jim, but I just can't ever get that out -- it would sound like he was a grown up -- just kidding Jim!!). I guess these things that have been thrown at you both this past year are making you stronger . . not sure why we have to experience that!!! Anyway, I hope things are going as OK as possible for you. If I can ever do anything to help out, please let me know. This is a great site. I'm sure there are a lot of people that wish I would have the same problems of not eating or talking!! Take care.
